  • Acid-etched with "U.S.M.A.", so deep one can feel it with a fingernail
  • Unsharpened ceremonial edge, but the blade has a sharp tip

Please note that many web sites often sell sabers that are called "West Point sabers," when in fact they are "West Point Style sabers," or Academy Swords. A true West Point saber will have the US Military Academy's helmet design on the guard and the West Point etch on the blade.
