 The ceremonial version of the former sword for German Infantry Officers (Model WWI). US military will immediately notice that the US Army NCO Sword shares many features and designs with the German Infantry sword, a common aspect to the American swords of the 19th century. The German Infantry Officer Sword has a few key differences, most notably, the different shape to the scabbard drag and the inverted, hinged guard that allows the piece to be carried closer to the body.
